The Pennsylvania Firearms Association is the Commonwealth's hardest-hitting, no-compromise gun rights organization. 52,000+ members. 67 counties. Zero deals with gun-grabbers. We defend your right to keep and bear arms — in the Capitol, in the courts, and on the range.

Universal registration, semi-auto ban and red-flag confiscation are moving. One click tells your Rep to vote NO.
Take Action in 30 Sec
We are not a hunting club. We are not a D.C. lobby group that folds. PFA is a grassroots army of moms, veterans, hunters, cops, and first-time gun owners united by one Pennsylvania truth.

The Pennsylvania Firearms Association was founded in 1998 by three FFL dealers and a retired State Trooper who were tired of watching our rights get traded away. Today we are the largest state-only Second Amendment organization in Pennsylvania — 100% independent, 100% funded by members, 0% funded by government.
Pennsylvania has its own protection stronger than the Second Amendment: Article 1, Section 21 of the PA Constitution — “The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.” We hold every politician to those words.
Simple. Aggressive. Effective. If a bill touches your guns, ammo, magazines, or carry rights — we are already fighting it.
Full-time team in Harrisburg tracking 180+ bills. Email, call, and door-knock pressure that politicians fear. We killed the 2024 semi-auto ban and the Pittsburgh preemption repeal.
Suing Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and the State Police over illegal registries, delays, and LTCF abuses. 14 active cases. 9 wins in Commonwealth Court.
Concealed carry, home defense, youth .22 leagues, Women of the Keystone clinics. Safe, responsible, confident gun owners win hearts.
Gun shows, Freedom Banquets, 2A Day rallies, high-school trap leagues. We make gun ownership normal, proud, and Pennsylvania.

29 states have it. Pennsylvania should be 30th. No permit, no fee, no permission slip to exercise a right. We passed it in the House twice — vetoed by the Governor. 2026 is the rematch. See the bill →

Open carry is generally legal without a permit except in Philadelphia and vehicles. To carry concealed or in a vehicle you need a License to Carry Firearms (LTCF) from your county sheriff — $20, shall-issue. PFA is fighting to make permits optional via Constitutional Carry.
No. Pennsylvania has strong state preemption — only the General Assembly can make gun law. Philly ordinances banning magazines or requiring registration are illegal and we sue over them. Carry with your valid LTCF statewide.
