Mystery thrift store lid, No hallmarks since the bottom was separate

Hi guys, I went thrifting today and found this kid to a pot that was missing the bottom. My thought was maybe if it was donated without the bottom identifying hallmarks some people passed up on it. It isn’t magnetic and there is no green copper oxidation anywhere. The edges don’t seem to show any playing as far as I can see and my only guess is it must be nickel or pewter. Anyways I have fun every time I go so regardless just curious!
