Was I being rude? I was complaining to a friend (who is overweight, I am a lean athlete) about how an injury has forced me to become an involuntary couch potato. I said it makes me feel physically gross and I don’t understand how anyone would do this voluntarily

For those who were overweight and sedentary and became in shape through exercise and diet (or vice versa- in shape to out of shape): did you find that you felt sickly eating poorly and being sedentary? Did diet and exercise make it feel better?
